The beginning of the firm can be traced back to the first decade of the 20th century. The founder, late Rao Bahadur Ganpatrao Kenjale began his illustrious career as Government Contractor. He is also credited with the construction of bridges which are the epitome of quality and strength. These bridges over Bhima, Krishna, Tapi, and Shivaji Bridge or Nava Pul in Pune, which stands tall despite the havoc wreaked by the Panshet floods in 1962. The British Government for his commendable work conferred the title of Rao Bahadur on him.
His creations include the Engineering marvels, schools, temples, government buildings, and prominent monuments.
Over the years, new generations have carried forward his legacy. Many a Kenjale creation adorns the skyline of Pune.
